I just had a fun experience today. I was out at the pool with friends. As normal, bees frequent around the water for a drink. They usually avoid people, and the people are more then happy to avoid them.

I had climbed out of the pool and was getting ready to dive in and I heard the bee flying near me. I caught sight of it as is landed on my finger and crawled around sipping up the beads of water off my fingers. The soft fuzziness of it as it crawled around and found little sips to drink, it was captivating. I could see the thing it used as a mouth to drink. I felt the tickle of its tiny legs and fuzzy body.

We, the bee and I, were interrupted when a friend threw a ball at me. I wasn't paying attention, and the ball hit my hand. The bee narrowly escaped a squishy blue and white ball of doom and it flew off.

I walked a few steps over and was about to return to the ball throwing game we were playing. But I hesitated when I heard the bee flying around me again. It came back around and landed right in the middle of my forehead, where my 3rd eye would be. My friends and I laughed with the moment.

It was cool, and I wasn't worried or scared of it. At least one of my other friends would have been if she were in the same position. I wasn't, I knew enough about them to not be scared. Even though I've been stung two and a half different times, all of them near water.

After a moment, it flew off, and I dived into the water throwing the ball. My friends teased me about it a bit, but we all felt as if we had a short magical experience. In some way, we think of communing with nature in such a was as magical and something that isn't ordinary. I can't help but to wonder if that is a bad thing. Maybe experences with nature should be more common if we're going to be able to co-exist with them.
